What is Networking?

A group of two or more computer systems and their mutual relations. There are many types of computer networks, including:
Local area network (LAN): PC geographically close together (that is, in the same building).
And wide area networks (WAN): PC away from each other and connected by telephone lines or radio waves.
Campus area networks (boxes): computers within a limited geographical area, such as a campus or military base.
Metropolitan Area Networks MANS): data network designed for the city.
Home area networks (Hans): network within the house of a person to link users of digital devices.
In addition to these species, the following attributes are also used for the classification of the different types of networks:

Topology: geometric layout of the computer system. Mixed topologies include bus, star, and the ring. See charts and network quick reference section of Webopedia.
Protocol: Protocol defines a common set of rules and signals that computers use the network. One of the most popular protocols called Ethernet LAN. Another popular protocol LAN PC is the IBM token cordoned off the network.
Structure: networks can be regarded as using a peer or client / server structure.
PCs on the network is sometimes the contract. The computers and devices that funds for the network called servers.
